About Our Teas

These aren’t teas. They’re herbal infusions.

What we create here isn’t technically tea. True tea comes only from the Camellia sinensis plant. Our blends are something different—herbal medicines crafted from leaves, flowers, roots, and bark, prepared through infusion or decoction. Infusions suit the tender parts of the plant; decoctions honor the sturdier ones. Most of our blends are meant to steep slowly, allowing their potency to unfold with time, intention, and breath.

How to Brew

Here are the instructions for making medicinal herbal infusions and decoctions. Use glass, enamel or stainless steel containers to heat the water and use clean drinking water to make your medicinal beverage.

Infusion method:

Use 3tsp dry mixed herbs per 8oz of water

  • Bring water to a boil and turn off heat
  • add herbs
  • cover and let steep 20-25 minutes
  • strain
  • if desired, sweeten with honey or preferred sweetener. This is easiest while still hot.

Your infusion is now ready to drink or stored in a thermos or a sealed container in the fridge for up to 72 hours.

Drink 3 8oz cups per day for the most medicinal effect.

Decoction Method

Best for Immune Booster and Qi and Blood Zinger blends

Use 1 heaping Tbsp dried herbs per 1.5-2 cups water

  • place dry herbs in pot
  • add cold water
  • bring to boil and simmer, covered, for approx 30 minutes
  • strain
  • If desired, sweeten with honey or preferred sweetener. This is easiest while still hot.

Our decoction is now ready to drink or stored in a thermos or a sealed container in the fridge for up to 72 hours.
